Kemer is a beautiful seaside town which belongs to the province of Antalya. Surrounded with a back drop of the stunning Taurus mountains to the West and Mediterranean Sea to the East it is a popular choice for many as a tourist destination.

Phaselis Ancient City

Phaselis is an ancient city that was founded In the 7th century by the people of Rhodes. The harbour here of which the remains can still be seen, played a very important role to the East coast of Lycia. The remains of the city’s shopping street, amphitheatre and public bath can still be seen to this day. You can really get a fantastic feel of how this was once a bustling city. The area is surrounded by stunning forest and has a beautiful beach where you can swim and take a picnic. As this is a national park there is a small fee to pay which is charged per car. If you enter on foot it will be charged per person.

Yörük Park

Yörük Park is situated in Moonlight bay to the left side on top of the small mountain. Yörük is derived from the Turkish word yurumek which means walking. The park is a mini outdoor museum with tents demonstrating the ancient culture from the nomads of Middle Asia. They would travel round in clans with their tents and animals. Each Yuruk (clan) would have a chief leader. The leaders tent would be more supreme than the others. Meetings would usually be held here. There is a large restaurant tent in the park where you can try traditional Turkish food such as Gözleme (delicious stuffed savoury pancakes)

Olympos Cable Car

Climb 2365m from sea to sky in 10 minutes by taking a trip on the Olympos cable car. The cable car itself will bring you a unique experience and give you the best views from the highest peak of Beydağları National Park. Between the months of November and May the top of the mountain will usually be covered in snow. The cable car cabin can fit approximately 80 persons inside, as you climb prepare yourself for the breathtaking views of Kemer’s coastline and turqoise waters. There is a cafe where you can take refreshments on the top and in the summer months you can take part in activities such as paragliding and bungee catapult for an extra cost.

Moonlight Bay

There are two main beaches situated in Kemer centre. Kemer beach is a large open pebble beach and stretches for miles along the coast towards Antalya. Moonlight beach is situated within Moonlight Bay towards the right of the town and is a sandy beach. It is surrounded by forest and has perfect shallow waters towards the edge great for children. In the summer months the beach tends to be very busy and crowded.

Nightlife In Kemer

Kemer has a very vibrant night life and a fantastic number of options to suit everyone. There are a number of bars and restaurants to choose from along Moonlight Bay which stay open until late. In the evenings they normally have live music for you to enjoy and light a fire on the beach. Bar street in Kemer has a number of different bars to choose from offering different kinds of music, some modern disco music and some traditional Turkish music. There are also karaoke bars and other options to choose from.

The main nightlife attraction here in Kemer is the nightclubs, in summer people travel from miles away just to experience it. There are 3 very large nightclubs which are situated along the beach. The two main clubs are Aura and Inferno. The clubs are typically open from April until October and throughout the season there are different themed nights such as foam parties, ladies nights, concerts and guest celebrity appearances.
